TREE COLLAPSE. A teacher who is also an environmentalist told The Ear that the city government should not only check the trees along Magallanes St. near the Magellan's Cross but also the old acacia trees at the Plaza Independencia. She said, "Kinahanglan i-check na nila apil ang mga kahoy didto sa Plaza Independencia kay ancient sab ang mga acacia trees didto. I don't know kanus-a pa kaha the last time sila ni check sa safety aning mga acacia trees."
BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY. A mediaman also commented on the danger posed by the ancient acacia trees at Plaza Independencia. He said, "Bitaw 'Bay. Kuyaw kaayo kung mahagsakan og kahoy ang mga mag date diha sa Plaza. Puwerte ra bang daghana nila inig Dominggo. Hehe!"
