SERIES OF OUTAGES. There was a series of long brownouts in the city's south district last Sunday and yesterday. Housewives were heard cursing and cussing the electric company because their frozen meat and fish supply had de-frozen and some of them had been spoiled. A housewife said: "Pahibaw-an unta ta kon duna umaabot nga brownout aron di ta mahinayak og palit og mga prosenonon nga pagkaon. Maytag idedak nila sa bill ang balor sa nadaut nga pagkaon."
UNFINISHED PROJECT. Before he left Canada for a brief vacation in Cebu, a Toronto-based Cebuano car dealer was requested by a friend to take pictures of the much talked-about Cebu International Convention Center for inclusion in his collection of photos of the different convention centers around the world. "Wa pa man diay ni mahuman ang atong international convention center," the car dealer said. "Nagposing na lang ko atbang sa wa pa mahuman nga CICC paras akong amigo. Saon man mouli na ko sa Lunes (yesterday) bisan wa pa mahuman ako nalang gikodakan." He said he would caption the photo "Before." The next photo to be taken in his next visit home would be captioned "After."
