This 40-year-old woman is her officemates' envy

ENVY OF OFFICEMATES. A 40-year-old woman office worker is the envy of her officemates. Everytime she would ask for a favor from the office chief she would almost always get what she wants. Her officemates suspect she and their boss are playing with fire. But no. An Ear informer says this woman is in the good graces of the boss because she once saw him coming out of a motel with his "Number Two" and he knew it. "Aron di mopiya-it ngadto sa 'Number one' kining babayhana gihatagan sa boss sa tanang pabor nga iyang pangayoon," according to the informer.

EYESORES IN THE CITY. The city government is trying to get rid of all the eyesores in the city in preparation for the 12th ASEAN Summit scheduled to be held here this December. An Ear reader suggests that during the Summit those dilapidated Kaoshiung buses should not be made to run on city streets. "Kay basig moingon ang mga foreigners gihimo tag junkyard sa mga discarded Taiwanese buses," the reader says.
