Homosexuals accuse Sin

The word homosexual has two levels of meaning. It can simply mean "being of the same sex" or "one who is inclined toward or practices homosexuality." Now, local homosexuals are accusing Cardinal Sin of fomenting hatred against "gays". What Cardinal Sin said was that same-sex marriages espoused by gay and lesbian groups are not endorsed by the church. The church, in short, follows the traditional definition of marriage as "the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband and wife". It cannot be denied that in todays society, people of the same sex get together and as far as they are concerned, they are for all intents and purposes "a married couple". The dictionary sees such relations as "an intimate or close union". All Cardinal sSn has said is that the church acknowledges the existence of such relations but do not classify it as a marriage.
This is a changing world and one of the greatest scientific breakthrough is the cloning of babies. This is a fact that can no longer be denied and that radically changes our traditional concept of children as the product of an intimate sexual relation between two persons of the opposite sex.
On the second day of the 4th World Meeting of Families in Manila, a Catholic theologian announced that cloned babies have souls. Who would have imagined that someday we would have babies that literally have no fathers. And so now the church condemns cloning but acknowledges its product and recognizes their spiritual existence.
All we are saying is that Cardinal Sin is just expressing the Catholic churchs official stand on homosexuality, meaning it acknowledges its rampant existence but in no way does he say that we should hate or loathe any person for being a homosexual.
Two homosexuals can live together but not as man and wife. The reason is simple. They are not man and wife. They are of the same sex. But no one can stop them from considering their intimate same-sex relation as a marriage. Some of the finest Christians we know are homosexuals. If they are going to be condemned en masse, we say, "Let him who has no sin cast the first stone."
Cardinal Sin recognizes homosexuals as Christians. What the church does not acknowledge is marriage between persons of the same sex.
