Fire guts building in Sta. Cruz

MANILA, Philippines — Fire gutted portions of a five-floor building in Sta. Cruz, Manila on Friday, the Bureau of Fire (BFP) reported.
The blaze started at the third floor of a mixed-use building at the corner of F. Torres and Soler Streets in Barangay 304, Zone 29, according to a report from the BFP-National Capital Region.
The said floor was used to store acrylic plastic, according to a report by ABS-CBN.
Manila Fire District marshal S/Supt. Aristotle Bañaga declared the fire under control at 10:01 p.m. and fire out at 11:05 p.m.
No one was injured in the blaze. Damage to property was placed at P3.5 million.
