MANILA, Philippines — A law student of the De La Salle University in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig who has been missing since June 8 was found dead in Naic, Cavite on Saturday.

Anthony Granada, 25, was last seen boarding a Grab at his condominium unit along C-5 Road.

The Grab trip was headed toward Naic Town Plaza.

“He was just calm during the trip,” Col. Rodel Pastor, Taguig police officer-in-charge, told The STAR on Saturday, citing the testimony of the Grab driver.

Based on closed-circuit television footage, Granada was seen walking alone at past 9:20 p.m. on June 8 along Lopez Jaena Bridge, according to police.

On Saturday, Naic police received information that a body in an “advanced state of decomposition” was discovered at a vacant lot in Barangay Sapa in Naic.

Granada’s brother, Ricky, positively identified the body as that of Anthony Granada.

Probers ruled out foul play as the cause of his death.

In a Facebook post, Ricky asked the public for “privacy to grieve in the moment.”
