Heartbroken man runs amuck

MANILA, Philippines — A drunk man who had no Valentine’s date went amuck and punched a jeepney driver in Caloocan City on Sunday night.

Zaldy Buena was arrested after he punched Nestor Jasmin and broke the windshield and side mirrors of his jeepney in Bagong Silang.

“Problema lang sa pag-ibig… Walang ka-date eh,” a drunk Buena told GMA News.

Randy Rias, a barangay public safety officer, said Buena, also a jeepney driver, turned over the earnings of his trip to his operator before he went drinking.

Buena was having personal problems, Rias added.

The parties settled the case after Buena agreed to pay for the damage.
