MARIKINA, Philippines — Marikina Mayor Marcy Teodoro lifted the liquor ban over the city effective yesterday.

Under Ordinance 64-2020, the liquor ban was modified to allow the sale of alcoholic drinks.

However, drinking in public spaces as well as restaurants and bars would still be prohibited despite the lifting of the liquor ban.

The transport of liquor and online delivery of alcoholic beverages will also be allowed.

Teodoro said that alcohol consumption will only be allowed in private residences and social distancing measures should still be followed.
