Andi Eigenmann admits she is a 'nepo baby'
MANILA, Philippines — Celebrity mom Andi Eigenmann has admitted that she is a “nepo baby.”
In an interview with Karen Davila for her YouTube channel, Andi discussed the trajectory of her showbiz career.
Andi mentioned that she is technically a “nepo baby” because she is the daughter of the late Jaclyn Jose and Mark Gil.
Karen visited Andi in Siargao, where the actress now resides with her partner, champion surfer Philmar Alipayo.
Karen and Andi discussed the actress' first experiences into the world of showbiz, where her famous Eigenmann-Gil clan is among the popular showbiz families.
“I don’t think that I noticed it that time. But it’s the pressure. Because obviously, I mean, technically, I am a nepo baby,” Andi said.
Apart from her late parents, Andi counts as family actor Michael de Mesa and the late Cherie Gil, who are the children of Eddie Mesa and Rosemarie Gil. Andi's half-siblings who are also in showbiz are actors Gabby Eigenmann, Max Eigenmann, and Sid Lucero.
“Before that time, when I was starting out, it was more of like because I was one, there’s even more pressure to really prove that I’m more than just a child, that I can make a name for myself, that I’ve got what it takes, that I deserve to be here," she added.
This reportedly affected her mental health as a child who was already working for herself and her family.
Andi started in showbiz at the age of 17 and her parents supported her in her acting career and she has done many movies and teleseryes.
