Traslacion 2026 generally peaceful - Nartatez
MANILA, Philippines — “Generally peaceful” ang pagdaraos ng 2026 Traslacion ng Jesus Nazareno dahil sa kabuuan ay walang naitalang krimen at kaguluhan maliban sa ilang insidente ng pandurukot, sa lungsod ng Maynila.
Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni Philippine National Police (PNP) Acting Chief, Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.: “Overall, we consider the Traslacion generally peaceful and orderly despite the sheer volume of devotees.”
Nagpaabot din ng pakikidalamhati ang PNP sa pangunguna ni Nartatez para sa dalawang debotong namatay at isang photojournalist na nagkober sa Traslacion na inatake sa puso.
“We are deeply saddened by these reports. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the deceased. While the Traslacion was generally orderly, even a single loss of life is a serious matter for us,” ani Nartatez.
Nangako naman si Nartatez na lalo pang palalakasin ang crowd management, medical coordination at mga hakbang sa seguridad sa mga susunod pang okasyon.
