P8 bilyon ibinuhos ng Makati sa maintenance meds ng Makatizens
MANILA, Philippines — Tiniyak ni Makati Mayor Abby Binay nitong Lunes na mababawasan ang alalahanin ang mga pasyente at pamilya para sa maintenance medicines ng kanilang mahal sa buhay dahil may mahigit P8 bilyon ang inilagak ng lokal na pamahalaan para mabigyan ng libre ang libu-libong residente ng lungsod.
“The city’s substantial investment in the free medicine program demonstrates our commitment to the health and well-being of Makatizens,”ani Binay.
Sinabi ni Binay na ang programa ng libreng gamot ng Makati ay sumasaklaw sa mga gamot at pharmaceutical products para sa hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol, enlarged prostate, gout, ubo at sipon, sexually transmitted infections, hika, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, seizure disorder, allergy, ulcer, vertigo, mga problema sa gastrointestinal, at iba pang mga sakit.
“By ensuring that everyone has access to the necessary medications without financial burden, we aim to improve the quality of life and reduce the incidence of preventable diseases. This initiative helps promote a healthier, more equitable community,” aniya.
Ang nasabing programa ay nasimulan noong 2017. Noong 2023, nakapagsilbi na ang programa sa 618,966 pasyente , at mula Enero hanggang Hulyo 2024, nasa kabuuang 241,604 pasyente ang nakinabang.
