Quezon City LGU, nagpalabas ng guidelines sa ligtas at tamang COVID-19 testing

MANILA, Philippines — Nagpalabas ang ­Quezon City government ng  guidelines para matiyak na ang lahat ng  COVID-19 testing  sa lungsod ay maisasagawa ng maayos at ligtas ang mamamayan.

Ayon kay QC  Mayor Joy Belmonte  ang naturang  guidelines ay may mala­king tulong  para makatiyak na ang test kits na gamit dito ay  FDA-approved, may kaukulang training para dito ang mga medical professionals at mananatiling ligtas dito  ang mga residente ng QC.

“Private groups or ­other government agencies that want to conduct mass tes­ting activities are very much welcome in our city. However, we have to make sure that these activities are properly coordinated with our City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit (CESU),”  pahayag ni  Belmonte.

Anya ang koordinasyon ay makatitiyak  na ang lahat ng test results ay maipadadala sa  health department para sa kaukulang aksyon.

“The city must be strictly notified of all individuals who test positive so they can be enrolled in our Community Case Management Program and be given homecare kits or be sent to our quarantine facilities, as the case may be,” sabi pa ni  Belmonte.

Sa ilalim ng  Memorandum No. 05-22 o Guidelines for Mass COVID-19 Tes­ting Activities sa QC, ang lahat ng pagsusuri ng DOH-accredited private clinics at laboratories, kasama ang QC  Government, Government-owned hospitals, at private hospitals sa lungsod, ay  referred  bilang  ‘extra-ordinary’ testing.

Nakasaad sa guidelines,  ang senior citizens at yaong may mga comorbidities at walang access para maipa­suri ang sarili ay dapat na iprayoridad.

Ang sulat ay dapat na matanggap dalawang araw bago ang pagsasagawa ng aktibidad. Sa sulat ay dapat ilagay ng  proponents  ang pangalan ng proposed CO­VID-19 testing acti­vity,  detalye ng assigned contact person at ng proposed date, oras at lugar ng aktibidad.
