Man arrested for P3-M shabu
MANILA, Philippines - Agents of the Philippine National Police Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force (AIDSOTF) arrested an alleged drug pusher in a drug sting in Manila on Thursday.
Barhaman Mushin, 28, of Barangay Commonwealth in Quezon City, yielded some P3 million worth of shabu, AIDSOTF spokesman Chief Inspector Roque Merdegia said.
Merdegia said Mushin was nabbed shortly after he handed over some 1.5 kilos of shabu to a police officer who posed as a buyer along Tolentino street in Sampaloc, Manila at around 6:40 p.m.
Prior to the suspect’s arrest, Merdegia said they gathered information on Mushin using a network of informants.
According to the AIDSOTF, the undercover agent ordered a kilo of shabu from Mushin. But he showed up with 1.5 kilos and offered to sell other illegal drugs.
Merdegia said Mushin denied being a drug pusher, claiming that someone had ordered him to deliver the drugs.
Mushin was detained at the AIDSOTF headquarters at Camp Crame in Quezon City.
Police said charges of violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied against him.
