MANILA, Philippines — Digital lending platform JuanHand has introduced a top-up loan facility that allows qualified users to borrow additional funds even before fully repaying an existing loan.

The feature gives borrowers access to another loan as long as the amount falls within their available credit limit and they meet the platform’s eligibility requirements.

JuanHand, operated by WeFund Lending Corp., said the facility was designed to provide existing borrowers with greater flexibility when they need additional funds.

JuanHand generally offers loans of up to P50,000, with daily interest rates starting at 0.025 percent, depending on the loan terms and the borrower’s eligibility.

The rollout comes as more Filipinos turn to digital platforms for credit and other financial services, particularly those who may have limited access to traditional banking channels.

To date, JuanHand said it has extended more than P116 billion in loan disbursements to over 20 million underserved but creditworthy Filipinos.

Alongside expanding credit access, JuanHand has stepped up consumer education efforts aimed at helping borrowers detect online scams, avoid illegal lending schemes and practice responsible financial behavior.

The platform was recently recognized as a “Financial Advocate for Cybersafe Philippines” during the BusinessWorld Cybersecurity Summit 2026 held on July 21 at Hilton Manila in Pasay.

The recognition cited JuanHand’s partnerships with government agencies and its public education initiatives against cyber fraud, scams and illegal lending practices.

“As financial services become increasingly digital, our responsibility goes beyond providing access to credit. We also have a role in helping Filipinos become more informed, vigilant and confident when navigating the digital financial ecosystem,” WeFund president and CEO Francisco Roberto Mauricio said.
