Andrew Garfield, Tom Hiddleston watch Alex Eala defeat Iga Swiatek at Wimbledon
MANILA, Philippines — Superheroes Loki and Spider-Man saw a fellow “hero” do the impossible stunt on the grass by the Philippines’ Alex Eala as the Filipina beat defending Wimbledon champ Iga Swiatek on Saturday night (Manila time).
Marvel heroes Tom Hiddleston a.k.a Loki and Andrew Garfield a.k.a Spider-Man were seen cheering for the winner, Eala, in the third round of Wimbledon in a nailbiting match, 7-6(9), 6-2.
The English actors were on the stands for the annual Wimbledon tournament in London, where for the first-time ever a Filipina made the third round and now advances to the fourth round to face World No. 17 Jasmine Paolini.
Alex, seeded at No. 29, earlier met Princess Catherine. Apart from the Hollywood stars and the British royal, Alex also met another tennis legend, Billie Jean King, while at Wimbledon.
