MANILA, Philippines — "Seven" by Korean singer Jungkook of the boy band BTS just went past 3 billion streams on Spotify, a first for any Korean and Asian artist.

The singer's agency BigHit Music announced the new milestone for the collaboration with rapper Latto released back in 2023.

As of press time, "Seven" is the only song by an Asian artist in the Top 100 songs streamed on Spotify.

BTS' most-streamed track is the 2020 hit "Dynamite," which is closing on 2.3 billion streams. The BTS song is several hundred million streams behind Toto's "Africa," which currently has 2.65 billion streams.

"Seven" has also been present on Spotify's Weekly Top Songs Global chart for 153 weeks, the longest run for a solo track by an Asian singer.

The track garnerned four Guinness World Records for Jungkook, including the most-streamed Spotify song in one week for a male artist with nearly 90 million streams.

Even the music video, which stars Jungkook and K-drama star Han So-hee, is tracking well on YouTube with 619 million views so far.
