Priscilla Meirelles remains friends with ex John Estrada

My amiga, Priscilla “Pri” Meirelles, is happy being busy and busy being happy as a single woman again after she split up with her hubby, John Estrada.
Even if John and Pri have parted ways, they remain friends and co-parents to their lovely daughter, Anechka.
She was all aglow at the opening of the fifth branch of her fave resto, Feta Mediterranean, at the Newport Resorts World. In support of Pri, John was present at Feta’s opening.
We indulged in an exotic culinary journey. The signature dishes inspired by the coasts of Greece, Turkey, Italy and beyond made us feel like we were transported to the heart of the Mediterranean.
The mesmerizing live belly dance performances, Glazing Kebab Show with Turkish in-house Chef Beyto, Greek-style ribbon cutting with the Break of Plates and OPA Greeting completed the vibe.
Since it was John’s birthday recently, I asked Pri what her wish for him is. “I’d rather not comment, amiga,” she said. “It might make my future suitors run away (laughs). I would really rather not grow old alone.”
With her ageless beauty, that should be the least of Pri’s worries.
RabGel’s new kilig series
When an ex-lover comes back, will you EX-clude him from your life even if he still has that “X factor”?
That could very well be the tagline of “Dating Alys Perez.” The new kilig series of Rabin Angeles and Angela Muji, also known as RabGel, is now streaming on Viva One. Directed by Crisanto Aquino, it has new episodes every Friday.
From the Wattpad story by Beeyotch that garnered millions of views to a hit and much-talked-about series adaptation, the roller coaster love story in the “Seducing Drake Palma” series continues.
Rabin and Angela reprise their roles as the mysterious yet devoted Drake and the sweet but fierce Alys. Meanwhile, Zeke Polina replaces Dylan Menor as Alys’s knight-in-shining armor, Tripp Palma.
Drake will do everything to win Alys back, even if she’s already Tripp’s girl. Will Alys relive her past or pass up the chance and go fast forward instead?
Here are quotes from Rab, Gel and direk Cris:
Rabin: “I will take an ex back if the love and respect are still there. She is worth fighting for if my heart says so.”
Angela: “If it was a bad breakup, I won’t give an ex another chance. I have to love myself more and protect my heart.”
Cris: “Trigger warning: What Drake and Alys will go through in the series is very intense. As we say in Tagalog, makabagbag damdamin and nakakawasak ng puso.”
Rabin: “Zeke and I are ‘tropa.’ So, I don’t mind that we are caught up in a love triangle with Gel in our series. I have complete trust in Zeke. Besides, I am secure in what Gel and I have.”
Angela: “My character, Alys, is a ‘halimaw’ when it comes to love. She’s all in and all out. But a red flag of Alys is she keeps things bottled up. She would rather lick her own wounds than hurt the one she loves.”
Cris: “RabGel’s roles in the series are more emotionally demanding than what they portrayed in ‘A Werewolf Boy.’ They go beyond cuteness and giddiness.”
Rabin: “In real life, I won’t leave a girl hanging like Drake did to Alys. Ghosting is a no-no for me. You should be man enough to end a relationship properly.”
Gel: “Rab and I are each other’s strength. We know each other like a book. We remind each other to stay grounded.”
Cris: “After working with RabGel on several projects, we get each other’s drift instantly. Sometimes, we just let our eyes do the talking. Sa shoot, tinginan pa lang, nagkakaintindihan na kami.”

Ogie’s Father’s Day concert
Ogie Alcasid will celebrate the joys of fatherhood in his Father’s Day concert, “Daddyokie,” on June 19 and 20 at the Proscenium Theater Rockwell (Ticketworld). It will be a nostalgic musical journey with songs that defined our fathers’ youth.
On stage, Ogie is an Original Pilipino Music (OPM) icon. Off stage, he’s an OPM (Outstanding Papa Man) treasure.
Here’s my chat with Ogie:
What advice from your dad are you passing on to your kids?
“Value hard work. Always take the good with the bad.”
In what way is (wife) Regine (Velasquez) your biggest fan and critic?
“Regine is the first to make sure that I am aware that what I do is good or bad.”
What comes first to you, being a dad or a husband?
“I am first a husband, then a dad. God, wife, family, then friends.”
