Calling it a “strategic partnership,” the newly formed joint venture between Viva Artists Agency (VAA) and Arnold Vegafria’s ALV Talent Circuit “goes beyond talent management,” executives from both companies said.

Hailing from the world of pageantry, the newly signed ALV talents, many of whom are beauty queens, are set to venture into acting, recording and other fields within the entertainment industry. The roster includes Miss World Philippines 2021 Tracy Maureen Perez; first transwoman to compete in female pageants in the Philippines and abroad Keylyn Pan Trajano; Miss World Philippines 2026 bet from Laguna Zia Ainhize Arboleda; Face of Beauty International 2025 Nikki Buenafe; Miss Teen Earth International 2025 second runner-up Meridith Bobadilla; Miss Grand International Philippines 2025 second runner-up Beatriz Angela Ocampo; Miss Grand Philippines 2025 contestant from Occidental Mindoro MJ Suarez; Miss Grand Philippines Samar Island 2025 Carla Jane Torcido; Erika Marie Davis (“Bubble Gang,” “Zoomers,” “Unbreak My Heart,” “John en Ellen” and the international film “Deadly Chapter”); Binibining Pilipinas Nueva Ecija 2025 Alyssa Geronimo; and Miss Grand International Philippines 2025 first runner-up Margarette Briton.

During a recent presscon, Arnold expressed his gratitude to Boss Vic del Rosario of VIVA Entertainment “for the trust and confidence.”

ALV beauty queens who have recently signed with VIVA include Tracy Maureen Perez, Keylyn Pan Trajano and Nikki Buenafe.

“As he said, this is a strategic alliance between ALV and VIVA, and this is just the first step. Like what Boss Vic said, he has known me since I was 16. We talked about it (the partnership) for many, many years, especially with Veronique (del Rosario-Corpus, VAA president).”

He added that now is the right time for their collaboration, citing the synergy between ALV’s strength in pageantry and Viva’s extensive digital platform.

“In the pageant industry, nakakakita tayo ng mga new faces, who are talagang professional, may karapatan and at the same time, very talented young artists. It’s about time to explore new artist naman with this, with the platform that we have and with the bigger platform of VIVA. VIVA is not only into movies, VIVA is into talent management and digital content (as well),” Arnold explained.

“We have to be partners in all aspects. And this is what you call a strategic alliance between ALV and VIVA.”

Veronique and Arnold have been friends since their high school days, the latter recalled. “Since then naguusap kami how to be together and now it’s reality na. So, this is only the first batch. You will see more talents from ALV and VIVA artists as well.”

Veronique was equally thrilled that their partnership had materialized.

“Arnold has an eye for artists. So, pareho naman kaming aligned with our vision. So, I’m very hopeful na maging success

ful and more talents pa from ALV.”

VIVA Communications president and chief operating officer Vincent del Rosario shared that he and Arnold made sure they were “on the same page” when it came to their partnership.

“This partnership is beyond talent management,” he declared. “Some of the artists, we’re recording them, other artists naman we’re doing movies with them, maybe an original series sa Viva One or sa television. But the partnership goes beyond yung talents.

“A proud talent like David Licauco of ALV, who will soon be doing a project with us, it’s a major movie. So, marami. We’re looking at concerts and other businesses where we have common interests. Si Arnold naman is a very good businessman. So, I think we complement each other and align naman kami. We’re happy and excited. And this is just the first batch. Hopefully, there will be more coming soon.”

Given ALV’s ownership of the Miss World Philippines organization, is VIVA also open to forging a partnership with them?

“Ang usapan namin ni Arnold ay VIVA will support,” Boss Vic said. “If eventually we will be partners, meron ding pagasa na magsama. Definitely, we will be supporting all the events of Arnold. And karamihan dito na nga ang venue (Viva Café), eh.”

For his part, Arnold expressed plans to launch a Philippine-based international pageant.

“Vietnam and Thailand are very successful (in that aspect),” he shared. “With regard to the pageant industry, the Philippines is one of the biggest and most powerful in the field of pageantry… We only have one, which is Miss Earth (Philippine-based international pageant). It’s about time to have another one, which is bigger and better pageant, which is one of my purposes. The objective is to partner with VIVA to put up this.”

Arnold was also the previous owner of the Miss Grand Philippines franchise.

During a separate grand mediacon on Wednesday, it was announced that Jojo Bragais will lead the newly established Philippine pageant brand, Reina Filipinas, as its president, with Miss Grand International 2025 titleholder Emma Tiglao serving as a national director. Under its banner are Reina Filipinas Grand and Reina Filipinas Grand All Stars.
