After performing as a cello soloist for the Iceland Symphony Orchestra when she was 15 years old, Laufey was a finalist on "Ísland Got Talent" and a semifinalist on "The Voice Iceland."
She graduated with a presidential scholarship from the Berklee College of Music in 2021, releasing her debut extended play "Typical of Me" the same year featuring "Street by Street," "Like the Movies," and a cover of "I Wish You Love."
Laufey has since followed it up with three more extended plays and three studio albums, the latter two "Bewitched" and "A Matter of Time" winning the Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.
