The Smashing Pumpkins to return to Manila after 13 years

MANILA, Philippines — American rock band The Smashing Pumpkins is returning to the Philippines, over a decade since the act last performed in the country.
A production company announced The Smashing Pumpkins would go on a "Rock Invasion" tour around Asia, including a visit to the Araneta Coliseum on September 29 after 13 years.
The Big Dome was the band's venue when it was in the Philippines back in 2012 for the tour of its album "Oceania" as part of its "Teargarden by Kaleidyscope" music project.
Vocalist Billy Corgan was the only founding member present in the 2012 concert. This time, he will be accompanied by guitarist James Iha and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, as well as sessionists Jack Bates, Katie Cole, and Kiki Wong.
The Smashing Pumpkins will tour its 13th and latest album, "Aghori Mhori Mei," around Europe and Japan beginning July.
The day after a show in Hiroshima, the band will be at the Busan International Rock Festival from September 26 to 28 before heading to Manila.
