Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter cancels Philippine shows
MANILA, Philippines — Singer and Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter will longer stage his Philippine concerts this month "due to unforeseen circumstances."
Carter was set to perform at the Waterfront Hotel Ballroom in Cebu on May 23 then Quezon City's New Frontier Theater the following night as part of his "Who I Am" tour, which he brought around North and South America.
Concert promoter Wilbros Live released a full statement confirming the concerts would no longer proceed as scheduled.
"We apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience," the statement read. "Nick Carter hopes to reschedule these shows in the near future."
The statement contained information for ticket reimbursement in both Cebu and Manila.

Cebu ticket buyers that purchased via SM Tickets can email [email protected] with the subject [Refund Request: Nick Carter - Cebu] or head to smtickets.com/refund.
Manila tickets purchased online via TicketNet will automatically be refunded to the original buyer's credit or debit card used in the transaction.
The promoter advised waiting 30 business days for the process to be completed.
For Manila tickets bought at TicketNet outlets, ticket holders can visit TicketNet at Araneta Coliseum between May 24 and June 30 for refunding, and must bring their physical ticket and a valid ID.
The concerts would have marked Carter's return to the Philippines as a soloist after seven years.
The singer previously canceled other Asian concerts without a particular reason beyond "unforeseen circumstances."
