MANILA, Philippines – More than three decades since its release, Michael Jackson's song "Thriller” remains to be popular—especially during Halloween!

Music streaming service Spotify reveals that “Thriller,” which was first released in 1983, is the most popular scary song streamed in the Philippines during Halloween this year.

Spotify analyzed over 600,000 Halloween themed playlists with “Thriller” coming out as the most featured song, and “Monster Mash” following closely behind.

Halloween continues to grow in popularity and Spotify predicts that this Halloween is set to be one of the biggest ever with themed playlists growing by 117% globally year on year.
