IN PHOTOS: Day 2 of Malasimbo art and music festival

PUERTO GALERA, Philippines- The weekend is the perfect moment to hang out with friends with great music playing, which is what Malasimbo art and music festival has to offer.

On the second day of the festival on Friday, the crowd enjoyed a variety of music ranging from beat mixes to soulful sounds that five artists performed that night.

Mark Zero pumped the night up with his funk, disco beat mixes. The disc jockey started making waves in in Baguio and Manila.

Crowns Down followed up with their soulful and upbeat music. The band is composed of Jojo Garbilao (lead guitar), Jojie Natividad (keyboards), Gospelaire Abarquez (acoustic guitar), Jireh Abarquez (Djembe), Jay Simbahon (drums), Enrique Villasica (kulintang/agong/shaker/cymbals), and Richard Rosales (bass guitar).

Soul singer Low Leaf calmed down the crowd with her original compositions "Paradise" and "As One." Both songs were written by this Hollywood-born but pure-blooded Filipina for the Philippines. She said performing at the festival was “surreal.”

Mark de Clive-Lowe, meanwhile, made everyone get up from their seats and dance along with his upbeat remixes.
