'Before You Exit' promises fun, energetic show at Circuit Fest 2013
MANILA, Philippines - Teen brothers Connor, Riley, and Toby know how to rock and this Saturday, they will be one of the many foreign acts featured in Circuit Fest: Music and Skate at the Globe Circuit Event Grounds in Makati.
The three have crafted a soaring pop rock album of uplifting relationship songs that effortlessly blend sharp hooks with bright and buoyant rock. The album standout and first single, “I Like That†is a tune with tenderly romantic lyrics and big pop-rock beat.
Conjuring up the optimism in the band’s name—inspired by the sentiment “make a difference before you exitâ€â€”the band works daily to make their way to the top but they never fail to stop and appreciate what has got them thus far.
“There’s no way we’d be anywhere without our incredible fans. They are behind us every step of the way and are a huge piece of this band,†states youngest brother Toby. In light of the many short lived and fly by night artists, this young, singer/songwriting, brother driven band, is one to be around for a while.
Get to know about the brothers in this Philstar.com interview:
I read about the band’s reason for the name, but what got me curious is the original band name SoulBinder39. Is that some kind of a gaming name one of you guys have?
When we started the band that was the first name for a little while, not a gaming name just one that sounded cool haha. We came up with "before you exit after" determining what we wanted the band to be about.
What’s the philosophy, personally for each of you, behind the band’s motto: before you exit, make a difference?
Connor: Definitely to just go out and always do your best at everything you do. Give your 100% and never give up.
Riley: For me "making a difference" is doing our very best to set a good example and be a positive influence to others and our fans.
Toby: Put your best foot forward and really try to be the best person you can be.
Is it tough having three brothers in a band? Who’s closer to each other and who’s the odd one out?
It's not tough at all, we honestly all get along really well. It really just depends on the day but I wouldn't say anyone gets along better than someone else. We're all best buds.
What’s your opinion on the One Direction comparisons?
Those dudes are super talented and definitely wouldn't say it's a bad thing to be compared to them. We obviously aren't much like them being three brothers and all but I would say it's a compliment.
Which artists do you consider an inspiration?
Anything from Maroon 5 to Rascal Flatts to John Mayer. Huge fans of all types of music.
What can your fans in Manila expect from your performance in Circuit Fest 2013?
A very fun and energetic show that's for sure. We've been working hard and it's a dream come true to finally make it over there! See you soon!
