Who doesn't know the Apo Hiking Society? Really? Jim, Buboy, and Danny will always be part of the colorful Philippine music history and to this day, their contribution continues to be relevant. 

Proof of this is Jim Paredes, Philippine Star columnist and now host of Radio Republic's lastest show Past Forward, which made its debut last week. This one-hour live program features OPM classics and the stories behind their creation. Paredes, one of OPM’s beloved figures will be lending his brilliance and knowledge as he not only plays vintage finds that date back to the 60’s but likewise interview studio guests who will share their personal memories of OPM and what it means to them.

In the interview below, Paredes shares his views on what radio right now has to realize: we want our own Filipino experience.
