MANILA, Philippines — Get in loser, we're going to see "Mean Girls" back on the big screen.

The new iteration of "Mean Girls," based on the stage musical which was inspired by the 2004 original movie starring Lindsay Lohan, opens in Philippine cinemas on February 7.

Cady Heron, the role originated by Lohan, will be played by Marvel actress Angourie Rice as the character tries to navigate the terrors of high school.

Playing the school's it girls The Plastics — Regina, Karen, and Gretchen, who were previously played by Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, and Lacey Chabert, respectively — are Reneé Rapp, Avantika, and Bebe Wood.

Rapp previously portrayed Regina George while "Mean Girls" was on Broadway before it closed due to the pandemic.

Comedienne Tina Fey, who penned the original film, returns as a screenwriter and is reprising her role as mathetmatics teacher Ms. Norbury. Also reprising his role from the original movie is Tim Meadows as school principal Mr. Duvall.

Rounding up the cast are "Moana" actress Auli'i Cravalho, "The Office" star Jenna Fischer, Jon Hamm, Jaquel Spivey, Christopher Briney, and "Emily in Paris" actress Ashley Park.

Helming the movie are Samantha Jayne and Arturo Perez in their feature film directorial debut.

"Mean Girls" on Broadway was nominated for 12 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical for Fey, and Best Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical for Park when she played Gretchen.
