13 films considered for 40th MMFF

MANILA, Philippines- Thirteen films are submitted and will be considered for the 40th Metro Manila Film Festival.

For the third consecutive year, ER Ejercito submitted a film for  film festival. Ejercito will be up against another Dingdog Dantes film which is a sequel to Kapuso actor's  comedy-horror film “Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles.”

Robin Padilla, who won the Festival's Best Actor award in 2013 for "10,000 Hours" , also stars in one of the submitted films.

Kris Aquino and Vic Sotto won't be joining forces this year as they work on two different films. Vice Ganda also joins this year's festival as he stars in the sequel of his film “Praybeyt Benjamin.

A Nora Aunor starring film was also submitted. This is following her entry  â€œThy Womb” in 2012 MMFF.

6. “Whistle Blower”: (Quento Media and Deus Lux Mea) Starring Nora Aunor and Cherry Pie Picache; Directed by Adolf Alix

7. “Kung ang Hanap Mo ay Ligaya sa Buhay”: (T-Rex Ent) Starring Boots Anson-Roa and Ronnie Liang; Directed by Elwood Perez

8. “Magnum Muslim .357”: (Scenema Concept) Starring ER Ejercito; Directed by Jun Posadas

9. “Praybeyt Benjamin 2”: (ABS-CBN Productions (Star Cinema) and VIVA Productions) Starring Vice Ganda and Richard Yap; Directed by Wenn Deramas

10. “Feng Shui 2”: (ABS-CBN Productions (Star Cinema)) Starring Kris Aquino and Coco Martin; Directed by Chito Roño

11. “My Big Bossing's Adventures”: (Octoarts, MZET, APT Ent) Starring Ryzza Mae Dizon and Vic Sotto; Directed by Joyce Bernal, Marlon Rivera, and Tony Reyes
