WATCH: New trailer for 'Edge of Tomorrow'

MANILA, Philippines - Warner Bros. on Wednesday released a new tailer for the futuristic thriller "Edge of Tomorrow" starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt.

The movie is set in the future where an alien race hit the Earth with an unrelenting assault.

Cruise plays the lead role of Major William Cage, who is killed within minutes after being dropped into a suicide mission against the aliens.

Cage, alongside Specila Forces soldier Rita Vrataski played by Blunt, would then take on the aliens in a time loop.

The "Edge of Tomorrow" opens across the Philippines on June 5, 2014.
