Fight between Sparta and Greece continues in ‘300: Rise of an Empire’

MANILA, Philippines- As the Persians declare war, who will lead the Greeks?

The story of “300: Rise of an Empire” is the follow up to the 2006 film “300.”

The story will revolve around four characters: Themistokles, Spartan Queen Gorgo, Artemesia, and Xerxes.

As the mortal-turned-god Xeres and the vengeful Persian commander Artemesia declare and lead the war against Greece, it is up to Themistokles to lead and protect the Greeks.

But the battle that usually happens by land takes a notch higher as they fight for each country’s glory at sea.

The film stars Sullivan Stapleton as Themistokles, Lena Headey as Spartan Queen Gorgo, Eva Green as Artemesia, Rodrigo Santoro Persian King Xerxes, and Hans Matheson as Aeskylos.

“300: Rise of an Empire” will be in cinemas March 6.
