First trailer of Tom Cruise's 'Edge of Tomorrow' out

MANILA, Philippines - Take a sneak peak of Warner Bros. Pictures' and Village Roadshow Pictures' sci-fi thriller "Edge of Tomorrow" starred by award-winning Tom Cruise, which will be released in the middle of 2014.

Cruise plays the part of Major William Cage, is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission.

Killed within minutes of fighting invading aliens, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again… and again.

With each battle, Cage gains more experience and skills with the help of Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt). As the duo take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.

The film will be shown in Philippine cinemas on June 5, 2014.
