The past threatens the future in the 'Horror Stories 2'

The Philippine Star
MANILA, Philippines - Korean film "Horror Stories 2" promises to make Filipinos scream this week as it tells three different stories of spirits that are called back to life.

The Korean horror film is almost similar to the Philippines' famous "Shake, Rattle and Roll" films that never fail to scare Filipino moviegoers.

The film starts when Park Sung-Wong and Lee Se-Young go through old files that are suspiciously fraudulent. Unknown to Park, Se-Young is capable of seeing the past just by holding something related to it.

The first story, the “Cliff,” is about two friends who got stuck on a cliff until one of them fell. A few days after the fall on the cliff, the real story behind the fall is revealed as the survivor sees and hears horrifying images and sounds from his dead friend.

The second story titled “The Pain of Death” is about a group of drunken friends who decided to go on a road trip after failing to get their teacher’s certification for their employment.

On the way to the mountains, they met an accident and what they thought as an escape is actually death waiting for them.

The last of the three stories is titled “Escape,” which is about a trainee teacher being bullied by his students.

His desire to escape made him agree to black magic practiced by one of his students, which brought him to a different dimension. The unknown dimension, however, would trap him for life.

As the three stories unfold, the dark spirits from the three incidents come to life and threatening to harm people in the present.

Aside from Korean Park Sung-Wong and Lee Se-Young, Ko Gyung-Pyo is also featured in the film.

Rated R13, the “Horror Stories 2” will be in cinemas November 27.
