MANILA, Philippines — Marian Rivera has addressed a long-standing showbiz rumor about her locking an actress inside a room, saying the story was exaggerated.

Asked by Vice Ganda in the Sunday episode of "Gandang Gabi Vice" to clarify the hearsay, Marian said the incident did not happen as it had been told over the years.

Hindi,” she said.

So, dalawa kaming nag-lock?" she added.

Marian revealed that she and the actress, whom she did not name, had already reconciled when the latter appeared on her former talk show "Marian" and apologized to her.

“‘Yung totoo niyan, maayos na kaming dalawa,” Marian said.

Marian said this was the first time she had publicly addressed the rumor, explaining that she chose not to speak about it before because she felt the public had already formed its own perception of the story.

Rather than continue explaining her side, she said she was content knowing the truth and that she and the actress had moved on from the issue.
