'Why not?': Jillian Ward open to working with Eman Bacosa Pacquiao
MANILA, Philippines — Young actress Jillian Ward is opening her doors to all kinds of projects, including potential ones with rising boxer Eman Bacosa Pacquiao.
Jillian recently signed a new contract with GMA under the network's talent arm, Sparkle. Eman, the son of boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, also signed with the agency for last November.
Speaking to members of the media including Philstar.com after her contract signing, Jillian was asked what other roles the actress wants to tackle in order to showcase her talents.
The young star answered playing a character with a disability or doing a project discussing mental health as an advocate for the latter cause.
"Malaking responsibility din ibigay ang ganyan klaseng role sa isang artista," Jillian said, acknowledging what a challenge it would be for her. "Magiging boses din ako para sa mga tao na hindi ma-explain ang sarili nila."
Another media representative asked Jillian's thoughts on love teams, to which she replied being part of one would depend on an actor's comfortability levels.
She admitted that as a younger artist, she is always open to try everything in showbiz, which would include a love team tandem. The "Never Say Die" star said she wants to learn more and become versatile.
Last February 28, Jillian attended one of Eman's boxing matches in Bohol and even shot several videos with the young boxer, prompting assumptions by fans on whether the two were being linked. Eman admitted last year to having a crush on Jillian.
"If that means na mas lagi kami magkikita, siguro yes," Jillian laughed after being asked if she'd do a project with Eman.
Jillian praised Eman as a good person and even shared a brief message he'd sent her that morning, "If I'll be working with someone that supportive, why not?"
