Ice Seguerra revealed that he wants to collaborate with P-pop Kings SB19 and folk-pop band Ben&Ben when he played “Truth or Sing” with The STAR.

“I really want to collaborate with SB19. Hindi ko alam kung sila ‘yung mag-acoustic or ako ‘yung sasayaw. Wala pa ako doon. Hindi ko pa alam kung anong mangyayaring adjustment natin d’yan,” he said.

“Of course, I’ve always wanted to collaborate also with Ben&Ben. ‘Yun, top of my mind sila,” he added.

In the same interview, Ice also got candid about his journey transitioning from a child actor to a musician. With confidence, he said he never even felt that there was a time when he wanted to stop making music.

“Parang wala. Sa pag-aartista, definitely. With music, I don’t remember a time (that I felt like giving up). Because, I mean, may two weeks nga lang na hindi ako kumakanta, miss na miss ko siya eh. Even if you’re not on the mainstream, you can always sing in bars. You can always sing wherever you are,” he said.

“Whether it be maraming nakikinig or hindi masyado, I don’t think I’ll ever stop singing because for me, it’s my main source of expression.”

When asked if he misses appearing in movies and teleseryes, Ice was quick to answer: “I miss acting but I don’t miss the waiting.”

Having been in the entertainment industry for so long, he further shared that he has already practiced the art of “deadma” when it comes to bashers.

“Alam mo, hindi ko alam kung anong misconception nila sa akin. Ganun ako ka hindi concerned sa mga sinasabi nila. Maybe the biggest misconception is: Puro looks lang ‘yung dala ko. Guys, may talent din ako. Hindi lang puro pogi,” he said in jest.

“Maybe, the biggest misconception is masungit ako or suplado, ganyan. ‘Pag gutom ako tapos nakita mo, wala akong magagawa eh. Gutom ako eh? Hindi ako makaka-smile, ‘di ba?

“I only become this when I’m in front of a camera. Because this is my job. But when I’m outside, I like being quiet. I’ve learned to give my energy to people who matter. I’m at this point in my life that I can’t actually be insulted by people that I don’t get to be with. Life goes on. Wapakels,” he added.

The OPM star recently visited The STAR’s headquarters in Parañaque City, where he serenaded fans with his hit songs for this paper’s YouTube musical series, “The Office Playlist.” He also concluded his “Being Ice: Live” concert at the New Frontier Theater on Feb. 27.

Posting about his “special” concert on his social media accounts, he wrote: “Hindi lang siya homecoming pero pakiramdam ko, bumuhos ang pagmamahal natin sa bawa’t isa. Thank you for taking the time to watch the concert last night and for making it a beautiful experience for me. Seeing all of you there and hearing you all sing along made me feel so many emotions.

“Thank you to my fans who have been there since Day 1 and through all the many changes, you’re still here 39 years after.”
