Gil Cuerva speaks out on leaked video scandal
MANILA, Philippines — Actor Gil Cuerva has spoken out on the leaked video scandal that spread on social media recently.
On his Instagram page, he shared his official statement regarding the issue.
"Hey everyone. I just want to briefly address the issue that had circulated online over the past few days. This will be the only time I speak about it, and I will not be commenting any further after this,” Gil began his statement.
According to him, the video that is now being circulated and sold online was recorded without his permission.
“The video being shared online was recorded without my knowledge or consent during a private moment,” he said.
He said that using a hidden camera and sharing it with others is a violation of his privacy and can be considered a serious crime.
Despite the issue, Gil expressed gratitude to his family and friends who showed support and defended him on the issue.
“Thank you to my friends and family who reached out with support during this time, and thank you to those who spoke up to defend my name,” he said.
