Mond Gutierrez backs twin Richard following Sarah Lahbati interview
MANILA, Philippines — Host-entrepreneur Raymond Gutierrez came to the defense of his twin brother Richard after the latter's ex-partner and fellow actor Sarah Lahbati addressed her financial situation in looking after their two sons.
Sarah appeared on beauty queen-turned-actress Kylie Verzosa's "Almost Honest" podcast earlier this month, clips of which made the rounds on social media.
One portion of the interview clipped by a TikTok user began with Kylie asking Sarah if she ever asked for help to provide for her kids Zion and Kai.
"Great question, no," Sarah laughed. "I will be honest and say that I struggle asking for help, but in this specific scenario... no I don't feel the need to."
In her view, Sarah believes she's capable of raising her sons so she doesn't see why she should ask for help.
Kylie skirted around asking about Sarah and Richard's relationship. The actors had married in 2020 but in 2024 Sarah confirmed they had separated and entered a co-parenting setup, with Richard later saying they were seeking annulment.
The Miss International 2016 titleholder did ask Sarah if a financial understanding was ever agreed upon.
"I don't think there was ever any discussion in terms of that stuff, but it is my decision that I'm okay with not getting help," Sarah replied. "I'm never gonna beg, never gonna ask, it should be an automatic thing actually. That's it, if not, then why am I gonna beg or ask if I can do it myself?"

Mond's response
Raymond commented on the user's post who had clipped the interview addressing Sarah's answers.
"My brother provides for his kids. Period," Raymond began, echoing the reaction Sarah gave in the interview.
He pointed out that Richard helps cover for Zion and Kai's school, hobbies, travel, clothing, staff and everything else his sons need, also confirming that his nephews split their time equally between Richard and Sarah.
"I can't sit here and watch this and not state facts. I wish this was clarified during this interview," Raymond ended.
Replies to Raymond's comment were split on backing the Gutierrezes and expounding on what Sarah mentioned in the interview.
As of writing the TikTok video has over 430,000 views and nearly 13,000 likes while Raymond's comment has reached 380 likes.
Richard is currently in a relationship with another actress Barbie Imperial, who recently shared things were civil between her and Sarah.
