South Korean label SOURCE MUSIC holds global boy band audition

SOURCE MUSIC, the label behind K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM, is inviting aspiring male artists from the Philippines and around the world to take their shot at joining its first global boy group.
In a press release dated Jan. 6, the agency announced its first-ever global audition for male trainees, aiming to form a new boy band.
“Founded on the belief that ‘music with a clear source and reason can truly resonate with the listener’s emotions,’ SOURCE MUSIC has built a strong reputation as a label with proven production and management capabilities. The label is now looking to extend its production and management expertise to male talent,” the announcement read.
Titled “SOURCE MUSIC 2026 Global Boy Audition,” the program is now ongoing until Jan. 25. It is open to male applicants born in 2008 or later, with no restrictions on nationality or residence.
Interested participants may apply via online submission on the official SOURCE MUSIC audition website, where they can showcase their abilities in vocals, rap, dance, or any format that best highlights their individuality and talent. Successful applicants will be contacted directly.
As part of the launch, SOURCE MUSIC also unveiled the official audition poster through its website and social media channels. The poster features a spacecraft, drawing on space-exploration imagery to underscore the significance of SOURCE MUSIC’s first-ever global male trainee audition.
A promotional video was released simultaneously on the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel and the audition’s official social media, with additional content set to roll out throughout the three-week application period to further build momentum and engagement around the global audition.
SOURCE MUSIC is a subsidiary of HYBE Labels, the K-pop powerhouse behind global acts such as BTS, SEVENTEEN, ENHYPEN, NewJeans, TXT, KATSEYE and ILLIT. The audition marks the first time the agency, known as a “girl group specialist,” has globally recruited male trainees, following its successful production and launch of internationally acclaimed girl groups GFRIEND and LE SSERAFIM.
