MANILA, Philippines — Awra Briguela said she is now choosing to stand up against transphobes after staying silent over years of cyberbullying.

The former child star on Saturday addressed her naysayers and bashers in an X post.

She replied to a tweet where she was reminded by the netizen that she could have addressed a basher in a better way.

The tweet showed a photo of her where an online user wrote about Awra’s lips or mouth in a negative way. Awra gave a sharp clapback, “‘Yung ngipin ko limang taon na sahod mo.”

After the rebuke from the online user, Awra said she was done choosing peace.

“You’ve all been bullying me online, picking on me every single day. You’ve been transphobic and homophobic toward me, yet you never hear anything from me in response. I chose peace. I chose to ignore everything, even though I was getting hurt every single day, despite not doing anything to any of you,” she wrote on X.

Awra lamented how she is being criticized for standing up against her bullies and being labeled as a bad person. She said that she was only trying to “grow, improve, and redeem” herself from her past mistakes yet there are still bashers that hound her.

Awra said that as part of her 2026 goals, she is focusing on herself amid her transitioning era.

“I’m tired of being the bigger person. This year, I’m focusing on myself and my transitioning era. I promise myself that I will no longer give transphobes the freedom to bully me. One thing I should’ve done sooner was be meaner to those transphobes. I don’t care anymore. I will stand up for myself this time,” Awra ended her tweet.
