Boss Toyo introduces new Pinoy superhero 'Raket Man'

MANILA, Philippines — Content creator Boss Toyo has introduced a new digital series that he created about the new local superhero "Raket Man".
The first episode of the new digital series is now available on his Facebook account.
In an interview with the media, Toyo said that the series was inspired by ordinary Filipinos that are fighting to survive their daily lives.
“Tungkol ito sa typical na Pilipino na katulad natin na mahilig rumaket. Pag sinabing raket, diskarte sa buhay at trabaho para kumita,” he explained.
Apart from brining laughter to its audience, Toyo said that the series aims to inspire.
“Marami dito ang makaka-relate, lalo na yung mga nagtatrabaho, may family values at tumutulong sa kapwa. Bawat Pilipino ay makaka-relate sa series na ito,” he said.
Toyo also said that he noticed that there's no new Pinoy superhero, prompting him to create one.
“Alam naman natin, dati andiyan sila Lastikman, Darna, Panday—pero parang matagal nang walang bagong superhero na lumalabas, Kaya naisip ko, 'Bakit hindi ako gumawa ng bagong mamahalin ng Pinoy?'” he said.
Joining Toyo in the series are his wife Joy, Kiko Matos, Princess Tan, Princess Loreto, Armando, Prof Rudy, Mami Gangster, Maria Tings and many more.
Toyo created the series while it was written by Roadfield of Moymoy Palaboy. His co-director is Brian Kierdyne and Louie Ong is the editor.
“Hindi lang ito season 1, kasi naka-plot na ito hanggang season 5,” he said.
