Rita Daniela admits making first move on boyfriend McLaude Guadaña

MANILA, Philippines — Actress Rita Daniela admitted that she was the one who initiated the first move on her cager boyfriend McLaude Guadaña.
The singer-actress narrated how she met the Lyceum of the Philippines University player during her guesting in Boy Abunda's afternoon show aired yesterday.
"Nag-simula dahil kay Xavier Ramos na anak ni Wendell Ramos na nakita ko lang actually sa Instagram Story niya. Tapos sabi ko, 'Luh, parang cute 'to,'” she said.
Rita followed McLaude after seeing him on Xavier's Instagram story.
“So, ako as a fearless woman, bilang palaban, fi-nollow ko pero sa totoo lang, nag-lakas ako ng loob na i-follow siya kasi mukha talaga siyang suplado parang hindi naman 'to nababakante, for sure may girlfriend 'to. E, fi-nollow back ako, Tito Boy, syempre noong fi-nollow back ako, gumalaw tayo agad. Ako 'yung unang nag-message,” she said.
Rita said that she only sent an emoji as a reply to McLaude's message.
The basketball player initially called her Ms. Rita and described their first conversations as "effortless" and "straight to the point." They met each other after three days.
The couple recalled how they became an item. It was one of those nights after going out that McLaude asked Rita to be his girlfriend.
“Ang nangyari sa amin habang hinahatid ko siya pauwi, so, as in, para kaming nasa movie, dahan dahan kong tinatabi 'yung sasakyan, pag-stop ko, dahan-dahan yung seatbelt, tumatanggal. So ang nangyari, fi-nace to face ko siya hawak ko 'yung mukha niya, sabi ko 'Pwede na ba kita maging girlfriend?" McLaude said.
Rita shared that she knew her answer was a "yes," but she needed to make McLaude understand her situation. Rita is a single mother to a three-year-old boy named Uno.
“Pinaintindi ko lang sa kanya 'yung sagot ko kasi, of course, I will say yes. It's just that hindi deserve ni Uno na makita ako na umiiyak ako ng dahil sa isang lalaki. So, ang dami kong tinatanong sa kanya, kung kaya ba niya talaga, is he really sure about me,” Rita added.
After their conversation and praying over it, Rita agreed to be his girlfriend.
Boy then asked McLaude about his relationship with Rita's son. The basketball player said he was happy to meet Rita's little boy, adding that Uno was accepting of him and his relationship with his mother.
"The first time na nakita ko si Uno, sobrang saya ko kasi accepting as a whole, nakita ko rin na okay din 'yung bata. Sobrang sarap sa pakiramdam,” he said.
“Well, for me, 'yung pag-ibig, it's sacrifice. Sacrifice sa lahat ng pagkakataon, na pipiliin mo 'yung tao,” he added.
Boy then saw Rita turning emotional with McLaude's answer about her son Uno.
“Ano lang talaga, kasi there was really a part of my life na I asked God like, 'Why am I here? Like I don't deserve this.' Kasi I know I am a good servant, I am a good child, but why am I here? Pero now that ito, kung nasaan ako ngayon, like okay kami ng tatay ni Uno.
"Uno's growing up to be a really really smart kid and very talented, and my mom, she's healthy you know, mas nakakasama namin 'yung mom namin, and of course, McLaude came into my life. Sinong magaakala 'di ba doon sa mga panahon talagang nasa storm ako na feeling ko hindi natatapos,” she said.
“But ngayon po, sobrang grabe, ramdam na ramdam ko si Lord. Kaya lang po ako naiiyak and naging emotional na tama po 'yung sinabi niya na just keep [your] faith and maging mabuti ka lang during your waiting season because everything will be worth it," she added.
Rita first confirmed her relationship with McLaude in an interview with GMA last October 6.
