Inday Barretto warns Jodi Sta Maria: 'Proceed at your own risk'

MANILA, Philippines — Barretto family matriach Estrella "Inday" Barretto warned actress Jodi Sta Maria on her relationship with Raymart Santiago after accusing the actor of abusing her youngest daughter and Raymart's ex Claudine
Inday was interviewed by showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz on the latter's YouTube channel where she accused Raymart of physically and emotionally hurting Claudine.
In the same interview, Inday said she feared for Jodi, who is currently in a relationship with Raymart.
"I'm not gonna say good luck to her, I'm just gonna pray for her. But proceed at your own risk. Kung hindi mo pa alam, bahala ka. Bahala na ang Diyos, 'yun lang sasabihin ko," Inday told Ogie about Jodi.
After some expletives, Inday claimed that Raymart is planning to build a house with Jodi but once "Jodi stops being Jodi Sta. Maria, she loses not only Raymart, she'll lose everything."
Following the interview, Raymart fired back with the aid of legal representatives from Calleja Law in a statement, strongly denying Inday's allegations.
"It is very unfortunate that Mrs. Barretto opted to resort to publicity to spread this untruthful and slanderous narrative," Raymart's statement said, adding that Claudine also "repeatedly exploited social media and sought recourse through trial by publicity" to discredit him.
Claudine and Raymart married in 2006 but filed for annulment in 2013. They are biological parents to Santino while Claudine later adopted kids Sabina, Quia, and Noah.
