MANILA, Philippines — Actress Chie Filomeno intrigued her followers when she posted a series of Instagram stories calling out a certain “Sofia” about “spreading hate” about her on social media.

The actress posted several screenshots of conversations. In one screenshot, she revealed that she received a text where she was informed about “Sofia” reaching out to influencers to “spread hate on you sa TikTok and other platforms.”

“Truly heartbreaking. I know she’s evil but didn’t expect her to go this low. I am not suprised anymore tho (though). But I hope and pray that the things you are doing to me now, your daughter will never experience.

“I really wish she does not feel this kind of pain. Because I will never ever do something like this, I do not want my future child to be treated the way you treat people. I was gonna let karma do its job — nope I am your karma,” Chie wrote in one of her Instagram Stories on Sunday, October 19.

She added that “Sofia” posts and acts differently online and offline. Chie advised that that the latter might want to reply to her messages first before reaching out to influencers, adding that it has come to her knowledge about “revelations” the past few days.

'Cruel, evil'

Chie also shared a note that reminds herself not to inflict pain on anyone even if she were victimized by it. The actress said she tried to take the advice but reasoned out that she was human after all.

“Masasaktan, mapupuno, at minsan sasabog,” Chie wrote.

She argued that what the person did was too much because she saw how it affected her family. She did not mind if the one who will bear it was only her because she had dealt with worse situations.

“The revelations these past few weeks about what she’s been doing behind my back are unbelievable and unsettling. Holding in that much information while hurting is destructive — it took a huge toll on me and my families (sic) mental health. I was at peace, really was but she would always do something to take that away,” the actress wrote.

She continued but stressed that she is not dragging the person’s child into the issue. Chie wishes no ill will to befall and she does not wish for any kind of pain for anyone.

The actress also mentioned about “mom card” or “anak card” in her post, referring to the other party in her post.

“As much as I want to do this with grace, sometimes they need a taste of their own medicine. But what you’re doing now is cruel, Sofia — messaging creators to throw hate on someone? That’s crossing the line. That’s evil really.

“I’ll never get tired of standing up for myself and the people I love because I know we did nothing wrong. Girl ang tanda na natin, bully ka pa din hanggang ngayon?!” Chie wrote.

Her other screenshots pointed out conversations about dummy and verified accounts that are very specific with their comments about Chie.

Chie questioned the other party’s claim about her account getting hacked. “Girl, nag-send si influencer ng (name of e-wallet) sa’yo. Sayong-sayooo ang number.”

Chie did not put the complete name of “Sofia” in her posts.

On betrayal, healing

In an earlier Instagram post, the actress wrote about betrayal by a "so-called friend."

"It’s a trend to use songs, since that’s what you have been doing. So might as well. It’s your sad boi era I’m in my healing era. I didn’t want to teach him how to love me — that’s unfair, so unfair for both of us. We deserve so much better, we all do.

"I wish him all the best, I truly do but what stings more is that a so-called friend, who knew exactly how I was treated during the relationship, still chose betrayal — even using the internet to attack my character. Mind you, she said she does not want to get involved but did everything to insert herself in the picture that she shouldn’t be a part of. And when I finally stood up for myself and confronted her, no reply, no accountability," wrote Chie on her Instagram post.

She said that she is standing up for herself and thanked the people who supports her. She hopes for people to find peace as an ending note to her post.

Speculations

Many online media users speculate that Chie was referring to actress Sofia Andres.

Sofia Andres is currently in a relationship with non-showbiz partner Daniel Miranda, with whom she has a daughter.

Chie recently hogged headlines after her split from actor Jake Cuenca, who said no breakup between them occured. The actress has been recently linked to Cebu businessman Matthew Lhuillier, who is a relative of Daniel.
