GMA-7 Sparkle artists pursue brighter future through college education

MANILA, Philippines — Zonia Mejia, Kimson Tan, Mad Ramos, and David Bunagan know that education is as important as their dreams of becoming the next big stars of the entertainment industry.
These rising artists of GMA-7's Sparkle are taking a major step as they begin their college journey through a partnership with their agency and Thames International School.
Other Sparkle artists who have enlisted in the program are Alethea Ambrosio, Mark Oliveros, Akira Kurata, Winston Stolk, Ralph Miaco, and Neathan Tan.
These artists expressed their commitment to balance their careers with their studies.
This collaboration shows the artist agency's dedication to fostering the personal and professional development of its artists, helping them shine both on screen and in their educational pursuits.
More Sparkle stars are expected to follow the first batch enrolled in the program.
The milestone was marked in a casual contract signing event held last September 9 at the Thames ESA Hub in Quezon City.
Present at the signing were Sparkle executives Annette Gozon-Valdes, GMA Network senior vice president; Joy Marcelo, Sparkle’s first vice president; and Jenny Donato, assistant vice president for talent recruitment and development.
They were joined by Joel Santos, president, chief executive officer, and co-founder of Thames International, and Dr. John Lagdameo, Thames academic director.
