Maris Racal admits jitters filming with Coco Martin in 'Batang Quiapo'

MANILA, Philippines — Maris Racal admitted that she was nervous when she filmed her first scene in “FPJ's Batang Quiapo” with lead star and director Coco Martin.
“Actually noong day one ko, okay lang ako. Ngayon ako kinabahan kasi andiyan si Coco Martin,” Maris said.
“Meron na kaming extreme action scenes na shinoot dito. Buti na lang fresh pa ‘yung knowledge ko from my previous serye na ‘Incognito,’” she added.
Maris will play the role of a young and optimistic police officer.
“Ito ‘yung pagpasok ng mga bagong cast. Magsasama-sama at maglalaban-laban. Siguradong mag-eenjoy at maliligayahan ang ating mga manonood,” added Coco.
Baron Geisler, who was Maris' co-star in "Incognito," will also join the show. Aljur Abrenica is also among the new cast of the action-drama series.
“FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” recently held a story conference to introduce the rest of the new characters that will be seen in the coming episodes played by Roi Vinzon, Richard Quan, Perla Bautista, Via Antonio, Aleck Bovick, Criza Taa, Jeri Montano, Tita Jegs and Ate Mrena.
The show's new chapter will dwell on the aftermath of the intense election battle between political rivals Montenegro and Guerrero. Will Tanggol (Coco) stay true to his values or will he go back to his illegal wrongdoings?
“FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” which is inspired by the original story of Regal Films, airs weeknights at 8 p.m. on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, iWant, and Kapamilya Online Live. Viewers outside of the Philippines can watch on The Filipino Channel (TFC) on cable and IPTV.
