Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce announce engagement
KELOWNA, Canada — For Taylor Swift, today was a fairytale.
The award-winning singer-songwriter officially announced her engagement to boyfriend and professional football player Travis Kelce.
In a joint Instagram post, Taylor and Travis shared photos of the latter getting down on one knee and popping the question.
"Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," Taylor wrote in the post's caption along with a firecracker emoji.
Later Taylor reposted on her Instagram story using her track "So High School" from her 11th album "The Tortured Poets Department."
The engagement took place in a garden filled with white and pink flowers, as if taken from a setting out of Taylor's numerous music videos.
This year only just got bigger for Taylor as she is set to release her 12th studio album "The Life of a Showgirl" this October 3 and has been teasing its release the past few weeks.
Travis meanwhile is gearing up for the start of the new National Football League season when the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Los Angeles Chargers on September 5 in what many believe will be his last season with the three-time Super Bowl champions.
Taylor and Travis went public with their relationship back in October 2023 though they had been linked months prior after being spotted together several times.
