Bea Borres advises young girls: 'Practice being safe'

MANILA, Philippines — Social media influencer Bea Borres advised the youth, especially young girls, to practice being safe.
In her Facebook account, the 22-year-old content creator said that early pregnancy should not be normalized.
Bea said that she was lucky that she has a strong support system for her early pregnancy.
“I just wanna share the importance of having a great support system… This has been a long journey of acceptance because I was facing it alone at first, but there’s nothing I want more now than to finally meet my baby," she said.
“Thank you to my family and friends who have been nothing but supportive and accepting. I’m one of the lucky few to have such a strong support system,” she added.
She then advised young girls to be safe.
“By the way, I just want to make it clear that being a young mom shouldn’t be normalized," she said.
“To my young girl audience, please always practice being safe. I just really got lucky because I have a great support system,” she added.
Bea announced that she is pregnant with her first child last week.
In her YouTube vlog, she admitted that she did not expect to become a mother but said that she is excited to have her first baby.
“I promise you and to everyone that gets to watch this in the future that I’d really really be the best mom. It’s true that I’m not ready, but I don’t think anyone or anything prepares you for motherhood,” she said.
