'TGIS' barkada reunite for Red Sternberg's memorial service

MANILA, Philippines — The cast of GMA-7's '90s youth-oriented show "TGIS" was reunited at the memorial service for their departed friend and co-star Red Sternberg.
Red's ashes arrived in the Philippines two months after he died due to heart attack in the United States.
"TGIS" director Mark Reyes posted on his Instagram account photos of Red's memorial service.
"The TGIS Barkada hosts a memorial service for @redsternberg. Welcome home, Kiko!" Reyes wrote on Instagram. Red played the role of Kiko in the beloved '90s show.
Present in the memorial service were Bobby Andrews, Ciara Sotto, Angelu de Leon, Rica Peralejo and Michael Flores.
"30 years of Friendship. 30 years of 'TGIS,'" the director added. He also tagged the other cast members, Bernadette Allyson and Onemig Bondoc, who were not able to make it to their reunion.
Bernadette apologized for missing Red's memorial service.
"Sorry, I couldn’t be there, Red. Seeing the pictures, I still can’t believe it. Guide us from above… 'TGIS' will never be the same without you," Bernadette commented.
Red's wife, Sandy Sternberg, said that the actor suddenly died on the morning of May 27, three days before he would have turned 51.
