‘Ang Mutya Ng Section E: Live in Concert’ brings the onscreen kilig to life

What happens when you bring together some of Viva’s most talented rising stars in one unforgettable night? “Ang Mutya Ng Section E: Live in Concert” proved to be more than just a showcase of music — it was a celebration of kilig, passion and love from fans.
Held at the New Frontier Theater and directed by renowned concert director Paul Basinillo, the event brought to life the tracks behind the hit teen romance series, with each performance pulling at the heartstrings of “Section E” nation.
Fans had the time of their lives reliving kilig scenes from the hit Wattpad TV series adaptation, singing their hearts out as the official soundtracks came alive through Earl Agustin, Amiel Sol, Rob Deniel and GAT, all backed by a live band.
Singer-songwriter Earl Agustin set a heartfelt tone early on, serenading the crowd with his suave vocals and guitar in Dalangin.
As he performed Dito Sa’kin, Earl offered a touching reminder: “Isang paalala na hindi kayo mahirap mahalin.”
A highlight of his set was a duet with “Avenue of the Diamonds” star Aubrey Caraan, performing her track, How You Feel, filling the venue with their heartfelt harmonies.
Earl described the night as a career milestone, finally performing his chart-topping song Tibok — the “Ang Mutya Ng Section E” track dedicated to Ashtine Olviga and Rabin Angeles’ tandem, JayRi.
He called it “the song that changed my life.” Following its success, the rising singer-songwriter recently released his debut album, “Himig at Pag-ibig.”
Amiel Sol, who’s making a name for himself with the viral success of Sa Bawat Sandali, captivated with his soothing vocals and personal stories as he belted out Di Na Akin and Nahanap Kita.
His charm shone through when he quipped to fans, “Sobrang laking part kayo sa pagbabago ng buhay ko, so maraming maraming salamat sa inyo,” drawing heartfelt “awws,” and laughter with “Kung hindi dahil sa inyo, nakade-lata pa rin ako… joke lang.”
His duet of Sa Bawat Sandali with the “Mutya” herself, Ashtine Olviga, was a clear fan-favorite, especially with JayFer clips (Ashtine’s tandem with leading man Andres Muhlach) playing behind them, and instrumentals echoing like synchronized heartbeats to the lyrics Kumakabog na naman ang dibdib.
Ashtine, a triple threat, wowed the crowd even more with her rendition on Sarah Geronimo’s Duyan, showing off her vocal chops.
P-pop boy band GAT, composed of Ethan David, Charles Law, Michael Keith, Hans Paronda and Derick Ong, brought adrenaline with live vocals and synchronized choreography. From Ikot-ikot to Huwag Ka Nang Humirit and Daleng Dale, they captured the crowd’s hearts with their timeless OPM classic covers.
The quintet got closer to the crowd during their Rainbow performance, handing out roses to lucky fans. With an upcoming debut single, GAT proved they’re not just performers — they’re stars in the making.
Rob Deniel kept the energy high with his signature mix of cool and charm. Known for his viral hits RomCom and Miss Miss, he energized the crowd with his playful banter, killer guitar solos, and smooth vocals in Sinta, Sinta, Ang Pag-ibig and Happy Ending.
“Dahil sa opportunity na ‘to, nabigyan kami ng chance na mapakinggan niyo ‘yung mga kanta namin,” Rob said, expressing gratitude for the inclusion their songs in the official soundtrack.
“Ang Mutya Ng Section E: Live in Concert” gave fans exactly what they came for — heart-tugging music, kilig-filled chemistry and a celebration of youth, friendship and love. With a mix of fresh faces and familiar names, the show proved that both the series and its stars are just getting started.
Actor-singer Rabin Angeles, meanwhile, brought romcom realness with a swoon-worthy performance of Randomantic, later turning up the kilig alongside “Seducing Drake Palma” lead actress Angela Muji. Their duet of No Erase evoked JaDine nostalgia, complete with a face-to-face moment that sent fans into full-blown kilig mode.
Of course, the AMNSE Girls, Sara Joe, Angela Muji, Rafa Victorino and Jastine Lim, delivered sweetness and sass with performances like Natataranta and Sugar Sugar, showing the strength of the series’ female cast on stage.
To close the show, solo acts Earl, Amiel and Rob, joined by GAT, made more hearts flutter with their heartfelt rendition of Cup of Joe’s Ikaw Pa Rin Ang Pipiliin Ko.
