‘Mutya ng Section E’ OST artists hit concert stage

While waiting for Season 2 of Viva One’s “Ang Mutya ng Section E,” fans can relive the kilig scenes from the series through a concert featuring the artists behind its official soundtrack.
Audiences will witness performances of the boy band GAT and solo acts Amiel Sol, Rob Deniel and Earl Agustin at the gig coined as “Mutya Ng Section E OST Live in Concert,” which is happening at the New Frontier this coming June 20. The event is directed by Paul Basinillo.
Aside from heart-fluttering beats and acts, the presence of special guests — Ashtine Olviga, Rabin Angeles, Angela Muji, Jastine Lim, Sara Joe and Rafa Victorino — will surely add kilig to the evening’s romantic mood.
Ahead of the concert, the featured artists shared at a presscon how their respective tracks have become part of the series.
Amiel’s Sa Bawat Sandali was specifically penned for “Ang Mutya ng Section E.”
“But it was chosen after it was released,” recalled Amiel. “For me, naging magandang feel talaga siya for the series because for one, Sa Bawat Sandali (croons) about the kind of love that we want from our friends, loved ones and family. And I think it really fits the theme of ‘Ang Mutya ng Section E,’ which has a lot to do with friendship. So, that’s why it’s a good fit for the series.”
Rob’s Miss Miss, on the other hand, was played on the last part of the show. “(Particularly) on the happy ending,” shared Rob. “I think it fits that part, the later part of the series and the happy ending. I’m very, very grateful and bagay siya because the series has had happy ending.”
Earl’s Tibok, meanwhile, was released in 2023, prior to the launch of the series. The sentiments of the ditty were based on his personal experience with love.
“Love is a universal thing,” declared Earl. “It’s a universal experience, a shared human experience. And I think na kahit ano pa sigurong love song yan mahahanapan at mahahanapan yan ng paraan like the story will find the song itself. I’m personally very grateful and very happy that my song helped in the story of Rabin and Ashtine as Yuri and Jay-jay.”
Ethan David of GAT said that the group’s Daleng Dale is a rendition created for the series. “In the first few verses, ‘Sino siya/Ang lakas ng dating…,’ that speaks for Jay-jay because kaka-enter pa lang niya dun sa school. She’s new, and she has this strong personality which was reflected in the intro,” explained Ethan.
The band, composed of Charles Law, Michael Keith, Hans Paronda and Derick Ong, will be dropping their debut single soon, announced Ethan.
