All in the spirit of fun, here are my “Dollyisms” on the buzz du jour. Just for comic relief so “bawal mapikon.”

Many showbiz personalities did not win in the 2025 midterm elections: They should join forces and revive the show, “Lotlot and Friends” (in showbiz parlance, Lotlot means “to lose”).

BINI apologizes over a viral video of alleged inappropriate behavior: Their hit song, Salamin Salamin ought to be called “Sala ay amin, Sala ay amin” instead.

Jackie Forster takes up the cudgels for her son, Kobe Paras and slams his ex, Kyline Alcantara after their split-up: Mother “NO-NOs” Best.

Bea Alonzo spotted with Puregold president Vincent Co in Bangkok: Move over, “Baywatch.”

It’s now “Bea’s Beau Watch” era.

Rabin Angeles is the certified new ‘IT BOY’ of Viva. He is the face of South Korean skincare brand, The Lab byBlanc Doux, and has his own fragrance line called Bin Perfume.

Rockin’ Rabin

Rabin Angeles is the certified new “IT BOY” of Viva. He easily charmed his way into viewers’ hearts as the red-haired JaPinoy, Yuri, in Viva One’s adaptation of “Ang Mutya ng Section E.” Rabin is the face of South Korean skincare brand, The Lab byBlanc Doux, and he also has his own fragrance line called Bin Perfume.

The cutiepie could pass for a Korean Oppa or a Japanese idol but he is 100-percent Pinoy. Rabin will make “kilig levels” rise even more as he topbills the TV adaptation of another well-loved Wattpad novel, “Mission Impossible: Seducing Drake Palma” by Beeyotch (a.k.a. Ariesa Jane Domingo). It has 79.5 million reads on Wattpad to date. At the helm of the series is multi-awarded director Crisanto Aquino.

Rabin portrays Drake, a smart yet aloof guy Girls are all over him, but he doesn’t take any of them seriously… until go-getter Alys comes along and makes him her mission, It’s Rocking Rabin time.

Here are quotes from Rabin and direk Crisanto:

Rabin: Before I seduce any girl, I would make an effort to get to know her more. But seduction is farthest from my mind now because I’m focused on my career.

Direk Crisanto: Rabin has presence and charisma from the get-go, I already knew he was star material. I first worked with him in ‘Instant Day’ where he played a gay role. Even if Rabin is not gay, he was able to pull it off because he is committed to every role he portrays.

Rabin: I prefer girls who are prim and proper to those who are aggressive.

Direk Crisanto: We stayed faithful to the book with just a few tweaks to make the story more relatable to Gen Z.

Rabin: I am more excited than pressured to play my first lead role. Drake has so many layers and lets his eyes do the talking. So to get into character, I try to be quiet and masungit on the set which is the opposite of how kulit I am.

Direk Crisanto: Rabin makes my work easier because he does his homework. All I need to do is a little fine-tuning. He has the makings of a true actor and not just a star.

Tito Bobot (Edgar Mortiz) is coolness personified.

BOBOT on my YT channel

I had fun interviewing Tito Bobot (Edgar Mortiz) on my DollywoodPH YouTube Channel. Our shoot was held at my fave resto in the metro, Azadore. All their dishes are too yummy for words. Super thanks to my good friend, Alvin Fortuna and Chef Tatung for accommodating me and my team.

Tito Bot is coolness personified. As a teaser of our interview, here are some quotes from him. Find out more by catching direk Bobot’s episode on my vlog soon, mga “Ka Doll Doll.”

“Before Guy (Nora Aunor) passed away, I thought nagtampo siya sa akin (for details, tune in to our full interview).

“Vi was my first love. But we did not end up together because back then, career was her priority so she was eventually paired with other leading men.

“I just ignore nasty people who insinuate that I got good breaks in ABS-CBN because Ms. Charo Santos happens to be my sister-in-law. Sa konsensya ko, alam ko it’s not true.”
